Mr Enda McVeigh MB, BCh, MPhil, FRCOG, GMC 3354063

Medical Director and Person Responsible of Oxford Fertility Unit.


Senior Fellow in Reproductive Medicine in the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecologist, University of Oxford. NHS Consultant Gynaecologist, John Radcliffe Hospital. Director of the University’s Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopic Service. Director of the Oxford Sub-Specialist Training Programmes in laparoscopic surgery, reproductive endocrinology and assisted reproduction.

Mr McVeigh is an internationally renowned specialist in reproductive medicine. His areas of particular interest include Infertility and laparoscopic surgery with a special interest in endometriosis. He is an advisory to the UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Infertility and has previously served on the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist sub-specialist training committee. Mr McVeigh has written a number of academic papers and book chapters on infertility and the role of laparoscopic surgery as well being the principal author to the Oxford Handbook of Reproductive Medicine and Family Planning.

Mr Child is a prominent specialist in reproductive medicine, world renowned as the leader of the team which undertook the UK’s first successful IVM cycle resulting in birth of twins in 2007. He is also the co-author of UK’s highest selling undergraduate textbook in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Impey & Child; Obstetrics and Gynaecology). In 2004 Mr Child brought his expertise to Oxford Fertility Unit. His particular areas of interest are infertility, oocyte in-vitro maturation (IVM), recurrent miscarriage, PCOS, reproductive immunology and laparoscopic surgery with special interest in endometriosis.
